We noted before how Kodak has hit a rough patch of financial turbulence and explored how that might impact their popular Gallery online photo sharing service. Today comes word from Reuters that Kodak is looking to sell the service to “photo-sharing websites, rivals, private equity firms and retailers.”
Again, this is just a report so take it for what it’s worth. Reuters doesn’t go into any other concrete details other than to note that Kodak is in a bad way financially. They do note that Kodak is asking for “hundreds of millions of dollars” for Gallery – which should give you an idea of how valuable they think it is (whether anyone else sees it as such is another matter).
